Understanding what happens to premium metal card once it expires

So, I’m still running premium and I had a question…

I really like the metal card. It’s just aesthetically pleasing, and I like metal items. Mine runs out at the end of this year, but I was wondering will they re-issue a metal card if I stay on the plan? Or will it be reverted to another card once my card expires?

I doubt you’ll get another metal card, they’re discontinued. There’s only one way to find out though!

I’d be curious to know as well. The metal card is the only reason I’m not upgrading to Max, and I intent to keep it that way until they offer metal for Max subscribers.
