Currently in Dominica (not Dominican republic!!) and have been unable to withdraw cash for a week now. I’ve used my card here before, so I’m not sure what the issue is. My aunt is having the same issue.
Does anyone know what’s going on?
I’ve had to use my other uk bank cards to withdraw money instead.
Did you turn on the magstripe? That can sometimes be an issue.

There’s a daily ATM withdrawal limit (mine is £400) - are you trying to withdraw less than the limit?
Are you inserting your card and using chip & pin or are you using contactless at the ATM?
Using chip and pin, however the machine won’t even accept the card, the first time I couldn’t push the card in, we tried a different cash machine, it took the card in but spat it back out without me entering my pin

I don’t think this is a Monzo specific issue then, as in account/limits/funds/etc.
It’s either a physical thing - assuming you’re inserting the card into the machine in the correct way chip-up-and-first (so long as the ATM is ‘standard’ in this way) - it could be a bent card (is it a Monzo white metal card?)
or
It could be a ‘ATM-doesn’t-like-Mastercard-cards’ issue

Thanks - we tried both banks. Republic bank won’t accept the card, I.e you can’t push it in.
DA national bank spits the card out.
