Unable to pay by text or email

I have just changed my phone. Monzo app downloaded sucessfully, however I cannot pay by text or email asIi usually do. neither can I set someone up as a payee. I get the following message “sorry there was a problem, please contact us”
I cant get through on the phone and cant find the answer within the help topics.
any suggestions?

Search “contact” in the app and you use the chat function.

If the app was transferred as part of switching to your new phone, try uninstalling the app. Restarting your phone and installing the app again.
