Unable to login 'Phone already in use'

Hello!

A while ago I had a Monzo current account. I closed this account but now I want a current account again.

I’m using the app on iOS and I want to use the same email and phone number that was attached to my previous account with Monzo.

When I try and create a new account it tells me there is already an account attached to my mobile number.

When I try and login, it accepts my email but when it comes to entering the phone number, it sends me the verification code but then tells me again that ‘Phone already in use. This phone number is already in use’. My only option here is ‘OK’ which takes me back to entering in my phone number.

How do I open an account using the same email and phone number that was attached to a closed account?

I think you’ll need to email support about this one.

Yeah. You have to email them.

They will reopen your old account so will have the same account number as before.
