You didn’t ask me, but here is a source:
To be fair, it seems like a bad idea to start a switch from TSB while their systems are so unreliable. I would also advise everyone to wait at least another week, or so…

Thanks mate,
True… I get that they suspended CASS while they were in meltdown as who knows who’s account you’d end up with or lots of missing data…
But to point blank stand in the way of people trying to leave now is outrageous!.. FCA needs to get onto them with the whip!
That was my source as well. I’d think it would be more outrageous to allow switching when your system is so faulty, it’s still far from ok
I really don’t think that’s what happened here (despite a certain newspaper rhyming with Daisy Fail insinuating it was). They had issues, and told CASS to not do switches for a day.
If I take MSE’s article at face value, I would say that they probably took the right action. The last thing anyone would’ve wanted is for money to disappear into thin air. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t…
Very true… as long as people can switch now all is good
If anyone is still needing one…
One here if it helps anyone
I just HAVE to put this here:
As a developer I’m screaming right now!
The name of the constraint, though - if this isn’t a BS_OPERATION
, then I don’t know what is !
This just keeps getting better and better. What’s next, SQL injection?
I thought you’d like that one

I’m sure noone really cares, but - drumroll - today, for the first time in almost a month, I’ve been able to log into my TSB app again.
Isn’t that amazing?
Wow. Watch out for the queues of those moving on to better places.
Oh TSB :shaking my head in unbelief:
(Just to make clear that I have no idea what exactly is happening here, or if TSB is at fault at all)
As an aside: I was only able to log into my TSB app for a single day. Since then I’m locked out again.
What on earth is going on there?!?!
Wouldn’t be surprised if fraudsters found a way to do remote code execution or to bypass logins. For this one I don’t think it’s just a bug (otherwise the money would just disappear, not be “transferred out”), it’s someone malicious exploiting vulnerabilities to gain access to accounts and cashing them out.
My first thought was site spoofing. When they were down people were sharing links of where to go to be able to sign in. Doesn’t take a genius to do a convincing fake
Seriously? Which idiot would sign on at such a site?!?!
Bit harsh. Some of the phishing sites are incredibly realistic. Add in a stressful situation and a trusted friend recommending it and voila.
We’re all susceptible and none of us perfect!
People who were desperate to have access to their account. Tsb did say to sign in to their account on a specific page and that got shared around and possibly modified.
Seeing on twitter people are being called from people proporting to be TSB asking if they are having trouble logging in. From a mobile number…
