Trends - a big update to the Monzo experience

I upgraded to 3.95.0 in the app store today. Trends is still missing for me despite being toggled on in labs.

I got a reply from chat - I think despite it being in labs, it’s only actually available to a select few.

Yes. That’s been clear through the thread by staff.

I thought it was for a select few chosen ones, then in labs for a smaller number? It seems odd to put the toggle in labs and not have it work.

Perhaps you need Plus or something.

That was my understanding as well. If it’s just a labs problem, I don’t mind waiting but if it’s a general bug with it not being able to work, it’s probably more important to fix it.

I have Plus but not Premium.

I’ve not got time to read all 500 or so messages :joy:

Seems strange to add it into labs of it’s not actually available - I’d thought they’d rolled it out to more people which is why it appeared for me.

I’ve got Plus.

The Labs toggle might take a few minutes but it should eventually work.

As discussed above, if it doesn’t, please do reach out through the in-app chat

I’d be able to confirm or deny this, but I don’t have it in labs :sob:

I did, this is the reply I got:

Have enabled in labs but trends still not visible

Edit: I’ve not waited five minutes, will report back

Edit 2: It’s here!

I get paid in the middle of the month

Not yet, no. Only the calendar month cycle.
But it’s been discussed and requested, so hopefully the Monzo devs can get it implemented.

I turned off the weekly summary on each account to see what happened but I want to turn it back on again? How do I do that the option seems to have disappeared?

Pie chart icon > summary button (with ‘this period’ under) > change > custom > every month > scroll down to week

This is iOS so might be different if you’re on android

So I’m the person who pays the rent and bills for my flat share, when my flatmates pay me I categorise it as either rent or bills so that my bills and rent spending is correct on trends- which it is.
However, doing that has re set my budget to having spent nothing …. There’s no toggle to not include those inward payments on my old school summary budget …… is there a way around this anyone knows of?
I use the budget to try to keep an eye on my spending and it’s pretty much rendered it obsolete.

Thanks yes I am on Android …
