Hi, my friend has supposedly made a transfer from his Monzo account of around £13,000 as I sold my car to him but I haven’t received payment whereas I would’ve thought it would be instant? Does it take a while to clear or something? I’m not sure
Please help with advice

Sorry you’ve not received your transfer yet, usually they are pretty instant, but they can take up to 24 hours.
If it’s not arrived after that, please ask your friend to contact us through the in app chat and we can take a look for them there

Your friend might be waiting for a response from Monzo to raise their transfer limit, which is £10,000 by default.
