I see this as a positive. Politicians have become entirely reactionary - largely just to whatever the daily mail is complaining about today.
Yes, every time anything positive is announced thereâll be a small crowd of people saying âbut what about small boats!!!â but those people will never be happy (in life as well as on Twitter). The rest of the country needs a vision for what the future looks like that we can move towards.
@mikez@fillip2k can you define this terminology please? Are you suggesting anyone for âBrexitâ is âfar rightâ? Itâs important to understand an authorâs intention when using descriptive terms due to the dilution of meaning as a consequence of misapplication of words and meaning.
Not sure if youâve seen the people with balaclavas on attacking lifeboat volunteers but it isnât exactly uncommon knowledge that the far right is on the rise.
Iâm being extremely generous here and assuming you genuinely misunderstood rather than you are are trying to set up a large and utterly pointless straw man.
âŠthe relevance is that the posts both mentioned the rise of the far right. They never linked âbrexit voterâ to âfar rightâ, they were analysing the root causes of the rise that is plain to see is happening.
Exactly - and I was careful not to link Brexit and Far Right. In fact, I mentioned EU legislation and proposed legislation that I was uncomfortable with.
âFar right partiesâ or âright partiesâ? There used to be some objective basis for this but the term âfar rightâ appears to have lost most of its meaning - particularly politically speaking - with a lot of this now being subjective and one of many mud-slinging pejoratives.
