The Great Permacrises

Even if he does, which I suspect he might it won’t be the end of this. He’ll go soon, one way or the other

It’s not getting better for him. Roughly a fifth of the government (including many, it must be said, who are unknown to anyone outside of their own household) have resigned in the last 24 hours.

Just watching his questioning by senior MPs. It’s like a really bad job interview…

And it will likely get worse…

But him being him, Downing Street could literally have just him in it and he’d say “what’s important is we get on with delivering”

There’s an interesting article on what could happen if he refuses to go here;

Really interesting read, thanks for sharing

I don’t know if it really counts as a crisis, but I visited a large Tesco today and found that there were no Twix bars (made by Mars) on sale.

Could be because;

It’s funny watching him on the Liaison Committee, he’s just bumbling his way through all this answers for a change. It’s a poor show from him, hopefully a few more MPs gonna be watching this, thinking actually nah I really can’t support him anymore.

Can’t believe there are live totalisers on both BBC and Sky ticking up with each resignation. After his performances at PMQs and the committee hearing, he’ll be gone by tonight. And hopefully the famous black door won’t smack him in the head on his way out.

Tonight is hopefully the night :pinched_fingers: fingers crossed

Agreed.

But we need to really remember Johnson is one… stubborn let’s say… man.

They’ll have to force him out for him to go.

It may take until the new 1922 committee to change the rules.

Can they force him out, though? Even if they change the rules and say"We’ve voted and you’re done", he can still refuse to listen.

AFAIK, there’s only one person in the whole country who can actually fire him.

The queen.

Could you imagine? :pray:t3::joy:

I like how it’s portrayed like he’s got the heavies going to sort him out, he’s the one “in charge”, he doesn’t have to do what they say.

Scum Tories have no qualms about changing the rules when it suits them.

May I refer you to a fabulously well written post just a bit above your own?

Sky reporting Boris has told cabinet he won’t resign. So all the ministers who urged him to go now resign, surely?

I’m losing track (and interest!) but one of the people he promoted last night then said today that Boris should resign :rofl:

Not just someone he promoted, but someone who said “If you don’t promote me, I’ll quit!” :rofl:
