Good for a Christmas market

I went for a weekend and loved it. It’s small but I found plenty to do. Trip on the river was great; museums and markets and plenty of great beer if you go on a tour around the town.

Was thinking of a good place for an Xmas market. Not sure how it would be for a 2 year old.

Since I’m currently sitting in the heat in Mallorca. 7 mojitos down I’m in the mood to book a wee cold holiday lol.

Plenty of 2yo’s in Bruge already so would be fine. Just limit their mulled wine intake

Just booked a weekend on Lake Saimaa in Finland in October. Looking forward to a weekend of cycling and swimming. Plus want to visit the castle in Savonlinna.

The train line also runs very close to the border with Russia so that will be interesting to see!

Nice looking place!

That 4th image looks like you took the picture while on one of those 1970’s weight-loss machines - the one’s with the vibrating waist band.

He must have took it with the new camera button on the iPhone 16.

Nah, just regular old shaky hands with zoom + taking the photo with the volume button, which when you think about it, would be the same as the camera control

That forth photo is not my best work :joy:

Has anyone been to Copenhagen?

I want to find a hotel, and maybe I’m being picky but for the prices they charge the reviews are putting me off. Even the 4* hotels with generally favourable reviews have lots of negatives mentioned in almost every review.

So – looking for hotel recommendations.

Been to Copenhagen but stayed in a hostel (4 of us in a private room - was great) and pretty cheap.

For Scandinavian hotels I would recommend Thon hotels. Stayed in them extensively in Norway and elsewhere, always been great with clean full featured rooms, great breakfasts etc.

I was planning to go but both hotels and airbnbs seemed very expensive especially for September, on the “reasonable” ones reviews were odd aswell. Parked it for now but will visit after Oslo most likely

Yes, that’s my main issue. Even expensive hotels look quite tired or have odd reviews. Ended up going with CitizenM as I’m going for an event and can’t just decide not to go. (I could but don’t want to)
