Switching Accounts

Hi there,

Just a quick question, if you’ve closed your current account with another bank does this mean you can no longer run the full switch? I got too ahead of myself and cancelled my current account before pressing switch. I’m happy to do it manually but wanted to check.

That’s right - as your account is closed you’ll no longer be able to do a full switch.

If the account is closed though, surely there’s nothing on the account to switch over? :man_shrugging:

They’d miss out on payment forwarding, I guess.

Presumably you had no regular payments going out at the point of closure?

They’ll need setting up from scratch, anyway.
