Stolen Card / Fraud

Hello, my card was stolen in Brazil and several large transactions attempted. One went through. I made a fraud report and cancelled my card. On the fraud report it says they have refunded the money but I haven’t received the refund. Does anyone know how long this takes generally? I can’t get any reply from Monzo now.

It’s normally instant.

You will have to speak to support in app to understand why it hasn’t landed yet. Support for this situation cannot be provided on here

I know just no one will reply to me on the support page. I just wanted to know if this is normal, I guess it’s not.

Has it returned on the original date you paid? It may not show as a new entry, but a reversal on the date the money was taken.

I don’t think there can have been any reversal as my account remains at minus 700.

I am a bit concerned as Monzo keeps saying they will refer me to the relevant team but no one makes contact with me.

Very stressful.

Just reach out to them via chat. The fraud team can be rather slow tbh.

I know it’s easier said than done but there’s nothing to stress about. Your money isn’t lost and if you incur any fees I’m sure they’ll be covered should the delay be down to Monzo.
