hi there , so for months now i receive my sons child maintance from his father every 23rd of the month (this cannot be changed he said ) but take this month and a couple months before it falls on a saturday to come in but when this happened i dont see the money until the monday ! Why do they not pay it on a saturday as this is the same as faster payment it’s just a transfer .Or even pay a day early ?
When you say from his father are you saying he has set up a standing order? Depending on his bank many do not do standing orders on non-business days. Pay early will not happen for standing orders or transfers so this is not an option.

so it’s his bank that’s actually not sending until monday okay thts fine it’s because it’s 5days before my salary so it’s always needed on the 23rd for nursery invoices lol thanks

It’s advisable to set up a standing order a few days before to ensure it’s with you on time. That might not be possible on his end though. If not, a manual transfer each month on the exact day will be instant which might be better for you.
Best is to chat with the dad and work it out so that you’re getting the money when it’s needed.

If it’s for invoices those also won’t be due on a weekend so I don’t see the issue. I don’t pay my rent on a weekend when the due date falls on one and haven’t been told off.

yeh it’s because it’s near the end of the month and i work but i’m payed near the end my sons child maintance helps me to get some things in essentials before my salary and also pay my invoice as it’s due a few days before the 23rd .I thought the guy who said moaning he was talking to someone else lol

Even if the nursery payment is due on 23rd and that happened to be a Saturday, nobody is going to come running after you if you pay it on the Monday.
I expect lots of people will wait until their own payday a week later to pay it anyway.
