I recently used the account switching service to move my current account across to Monzo and in my list of standing orders there was one that was to my joint account every four weeks and this moved to my Monzo account with no issues.
However, my husband and I have now set up a joint account with Monzo but I am unable to edit the existing standing order and when I set up a new one it doesn’t give me a four weekly option. This means that I am going to have to manually transfer the money to the joint account every four weeks which is a bit of a pain to be fair.
Does anyone know if there is a way around this or if Monzo are likely to amend the frequencies anytime soon? The only thing I can thin to do it set the payment up on my legacy account and then do another account switcher but not sure if that would work?
Hi @mdnn85 was the standing order transferred as part of CASS? These ones don’t seem to be editable. You need to delete them and set them back up again to allow editing
On iOS you can also only do day, week, monthly, yearly (I believe there’s more options on Android that allow 4 weekly etc) hopefully this will get fixed soon but not heard any dates
Yeah it transferred from my Santander Account. Monzo must have the functionality to support four weekly payments as it transferred across fine, it just wont let me set up a new one with a four weekly frequency
I asked Customer Service via the in app chat and they advised that currently this cant be done
So, to get around this I have set a standing order up with me legacy bank and then I have done a partial switch to move the standing order to my Monzo account with a frequency of four weekly. Long winded but it saves me having to remember to transfer the money myself every four weeks
