I can swipe, or tap, the dual-pillbox to change state?
Do you mean swipe the transactions below the dual-pillbox to change the displayed state?

Yeah, swipe anywhere below the tabs for lazy browsers like me who don’t want to move their hand to get to the top of their phone.
Especially now the feed goes full height of your phone. It’s really long
On iOS it doesn’t currently allow you to swipe the tab between feed/manage.
Genuine question, am I missing something here? The update seems to have been well received, but I’m not sure I really get the purpose of it.
I see that there is useful extra functionality for in pots, but on the main account why are two tabs needed? Are people really copying across information such as the bank address that regularly, that it needs so much real estate on the main page? Another blue button under the card called “manage” could have been used instead.
Not trying to be negative, just genuinely curious if I’ve just missed some of the additional functionality for the main account.
Makes it s bit easier to remember where to go when I need a statement. I was forever forgetting where I needed to go for one. I would tend to access them through a help article as always got lost trying to navigate the app.
With this change at least for that I know I can just press manage them get straight to a statement.
Reading between the lines, the blue buttons below the cards will be phased out. One of them (‘Account’) has already gone and it won’t be difficult to incorporate the remaining 3 buttons into the ‘Manage’ display.
See opening post - people were struggling to remember where account information was located.
I’m surprised account number and pin didn’t move across with this update
Account number is in the new tab, so I’m surprised that they didn’t move the PIN as well and then they could get rid of that circle underneath the card.
Whoops typo on my part, I meant the card number and pin button
I’ve just received the update where my account and pots have been split into the two tabs: Feed and Manage. It also seems to have taken away something I loved: the one line in the current account transaction list for each bill paid from a pot. EDIT: looks like this only happens when the bill payment under the ‘Tomorrow’ part of the feed, and after the transaction happens it splits into 2… I would like it not to.
Feedback and ideas:
Current account
Pots
Hi. Welcome.
There’s lots of discussion regarding this going on here
I agree it’s better, but you can’t miss something it’s never done, it’s always been two separate lines.
Your feed needs to be an accurate ledger of your account, so if things are skipped/hidden/joined together then the balance will no longer tally.
But the work is on-going so never say never!
Was just coming here to say this.
I don’t have the new tabs and this is what it looks like and has always looked like.
Can confirm that it still looks like this on the new tabs
I can confirm that confirmation. Auto-transactions from Bills pots are shown in the same way in the main account feed. See post 265 below for how the main account feed looks for Bills pot transactions
What I do like with New Tabs is the difference with the Bills pot (or pots), when compared to other pots.
While I do want to see the in/out transactions of normal pots, I’m not interested in seeing the in/out transactions from the Bills pot (shown in ‘Feed’) because most of those transactions are shown in the main account feed anyway - but - I am interested in seeing the ‘Left to pay’ amount in the Bills pot (shown in ‘Manage’).
I do this to check if the amount in the Bills pot is more than the ‘Left to pay’ amount, just to stop any surprises and maintain a decent level of monthly transfers to the Bills pot.
So with New Tabs, I set the Bills pot view to ‘Manage’ and it remembers this preference when scrolling through the accounts & pots which is a nice touch.
Sounds like I misremembered it being one line, but I’m absolutely sure it had an indicator that it was paid from a pot, which is an improvement on the current state.
I’m not suggesting anything should be skipped or hidden. I’m suggesting that rather than saying the bill payment went to ‘current account’ and then having to go into current account to see which bill it paid, it should tell me where the payment went. I know Monzo has this information, because it’s listed right there in the Manage tab, under ‘Paid from Pot’. It absolutely would tally, and it would be a much more accurate ledger given the entire point of paying from pot (from a user perspective, not from a technical perspective) is for me to pay bills, not for me to pay myself within my current account. Otherwise I may as well just have a separate account. The feed as it stands provides me with no useful information at all.
See my screenshot a few posts up. Unfortunately not, as helpful as that would be
I know it has this indicator on the payments tab under scheduled though.
Agree with your latter point about how much more helpful it would be to see that.
Whilst this is complete speculation, the hints from the team recently have been that we’ll be able to directly pay stuff from pots in the near future
The only indicator of paid-from-pot is on a transaction that is assigned to be paid from a pot in the ‘Payments → Scheduled’ tab. You see a small icon of the assigned Bills pot image at the top-right of the transaction icon in the list of scheduled payments.
I have it at the top of my feed in the current account.
I thought it also remained after the bill was paid, but maybe I misremembered that part.
