Split Transactions over months for Spending Trends

When making a payment for a large amount for a product like insurance which covers a long period, it would be good to choose to divide this across the relevant number of months when displaying Spending Trends.

E.g. if I spend £1656 for Insurance that covers 18 months, it would be nice to choose which category e.g. Insurance, and the instead of seeing one huge payment for £1656 in one month and then nothing for 18 months, it would automatically display as £92 per month in Spending Trend charts instead, with some indication or link back to the original payment.

But that isn’t when you’ve spent it.

You can do this yourself and mark the transfer each month as insurance for £92 and then exclude the £1656.

Yes, I understand that. But how money is spent doesn’t always directly translate to how people perceive their spending or view the budgets.

I already make many “hacks” to spending, making smart splits and separations, but it would be good to have the option to automate it.
