Any indication if it’s purely Monzo effected or a break elsewhere in the system?
This appears to be only affecting a small number of merchants
Probably something exploded at a particular acquirer bank, and not related to Monzo in any way.

Hi @Jackcrwhitney! Some acquirers (card processors for merchants – typically online ones) changed the way they send some transactions to us and our systems couldn’t interpret the new format. As soon as we became aware of this about an hour ago we pushed a fix to our card processor and these transactions will now be approved. Sorry for any inconvenience if you were affected!
I wasn’t affected but I thought I’d raise the question if it was purely a Monzo issue or not in case I/others ran into any problems over lunch but looks like that won’t be the case
