Simple Questions Thread (Newbie Friendly 🙂)

Monzo app be looking very rounded this morning. I quite like it :+1:

Although the “Add money”, “Card” and “:” icons are a little too dark for my liking. It makes it look like I’ve turned on high-contrast mode (which I’ve not). I significantly preferred the old, less dark colours for those icons.

Is there a better place for me to post this so that this can be addressed?

They are not going to make design changes based on your preference.

It’s called “feedback”. Something I suspect you could benefit from yourself.

I see nothing wrong with Jo expressing his dislike of a change that has been made to the app.

It’s the purpose of this site.

Yes, his dislike of making things more readable should be changed back instantly.

I get that being reductive is your thing and it’s on-brand for you but perhaps it’s time for change.

The motivation behind the changes to the app is entirely irrelevant. Monzo still encourages feedback. All feedback is valid.

I use the app daily and can’t say that I’ve noticed anything getting darker or rounder, unless this hasn’t made it to iOS yet.

Serious question this time!

So, on Saturday, I travelled between the Heathrow Terminals (Heathrow Free Travel Zone). When I initially tapped in, I got charged the standard 10p verification. However, it’s not dropped off my card yet. I was just wondering how long it should take before I should see this charge dropped. I should add that the charge has dropped off of my NatWest Card (I made two journeys in this Zone, on two different cards, judge me), so I’m a little confused as to why my Monzo Card has not dropped the charge yet.

Has TfL presented the full transaction yet?

I can see the transaction in the TFL Go App as showing £0.00 for the journey, and yet Monzo is holding onto this 10p for some reason :thinking:

There’s this plus one other £0.00 transaction in my Journey history as well. It’s just odd because the 10p hold on my NatWest card has dropped off (I made a journey on that card as well in the free travel zone), and yet Monzo is still holding this 10p?

The overall transaction cost should be £0.00.

It takes more than 5 days usually. But it will drop off. Don’t sweat about it.

It drops off quicker if you have an actual charge from TfL usually.
