If anyone from monzo gets to see this — the new “set up” option on pots is annoying if you’re unable to remove it. It feels like it is a permanent advert for Plus etc. We should be given the option to remove this. We know Plus is available. But I’m uncomfortable with it.
How often are you looking at the manage tab on a pot for this to be something you’re “uncomfortable” with?
I don’t particularly mind the occasional ad like that (in addition to the persistent “Upgrade your account” button on the main screen which I mostly don’t notice any more. But I’d prefer it if ads like the one in this screenshot could be dismissed.
Not very often. But I dislike it is permanent. There’s no way of removing or dismissing it.
As someone who lives in the manage on my pots (I hate the feed tab) because it’s the vastly more useful of the tabs by showing me a clearer picture of what’s coming up, if I didn’t have Plus, this advert would be by far the most annoying one they’ve done. And Monzo have had some of the most in your face, attention grabbing, invasive ads of all the fintechs.
The only saving grace is that if you have scheduled payments set up, they’re kind enough to move the advert below them so they’re kept above the fold.
Feels bizarre they’re advertising when I have plus already. Especially given that all my virtual cards are already in use so can’t use it anyway, making my advert a big fat greyed out area that I can’t do anything with!
