When I go to the home part of the Monzo app there is a button under my name in light blue which shows a star and says “get Monzo Premium”.
There’s no way to get this large button to go. I’ve already got a plus account and don’t want a premium. Can Monzo please allow us to disable this icon?

Agree. I have chosen to pay £5 for Plus why Monzo add banner to upgrade?!
I pay for Amazon Prime Video, but I still get ads in front of everything I watch.
It’s an unobtrusive button in an unobtrusive location.
I suspect it isn’t going anywhere, and you’ll have to learn to live with it.
I’m surprised actually there isn’t a little metal card in my Plus-Carousel.
And, as much as I am shocked to hear myself say this, I thought the “upgrade from Plus to Premium” would be more prominant in the existing Plus tab.
I just came on here wondering the same thing. I’m already Plus and don’t feel the need to be upselled to Premium. Adding the button shifted accounts down the page 
Would be great if you had option to remove especially Plus members as we are already paid members.
Luckily I rarely go in the app anymore so don’t usually see the advertisement too often, just around payday when I put my bills money into it’s pot and transfer the remaining spending money to another bank

It’s really annoying. Constant ad staring at me.
I’m not sure there’s anything unusual about stopping using or cancelling a product because of what you see as excessive or intrusive ads. (I’ve done so myself).
Personally I don’t agree the plus/premium ads are either excessive or intrusive though. But it’s personal opinion, and what gets on one person’s goat won’t bother the next person at all.
There’s plenty of people out there who don’t avoid commercial radio because they can’t do with adverts, but I do. 
Normally, I can cope with the odd advert on radio, just as I cope with the odd adverts on the free version of Spotify.
Yesterday, however, the radio station had four adverts between tracks, and ad 1 and 4 was the same advert, trying to encourage us to shop early for christmas. Like I am even thinking about Christmas in October! 
On TV though, I record most programmes that I want to watch, that contain adverts, and then skip forward through them 
Not seen this Monzo ad, in my face, yet. Am I missing out?

Was reading a post about Sky TV and adverts for Sky Sports and then poof, it disappeared 
Spooky Hallowe’en things happening already? 
Was hoping this would have been removed in the new update. Still annoying the button is there for Plus members. At least move it to the Plus tab page.
