Not everyone thinks like you, open your point of view and stop seeing everything so negatively and you may find people make good points ![]()
I wouldn’t want anyone to disappear ![]()
Same here. Although this thread is confusing in particular. Something that should be simple appears to have just been missed - and Monzo is capable of resolving it to make it easier for the account holder. Which is what I thought the forum was for - to discuss ways of improving it.
Also a lot of contradictions in here. Being told something isn’t possible (when it is) and that I “try to make every aspect of banking life as complicated as possible”, which is the very opposite
.
Umm, no? I’d like it to make sure money from my personal account is scheduled to go into the right places. The only “but only on a full moon when it’s a Thursday” is brought on by the current Monzo functionality, not me. That’s what I’d like to resolve ![]()
This was part of the query. I think this would work, but I’ll have to wait until next month to try it out. I actually don’t think I’d need any further transfers as “Salary Sorter” appears to do the job. But I can’t set up the salary sorter until next month and the process remains very manual. Whereas ‘scheduled payments’ is automated, except it doesn’t do what “Sorter” does (as scheduled payments don’t allow me to schedule from personal to a joint pot.
My point was: it appears to be ‘half done’ and quite easy to resolve rather than me trying to complicate it. The most obvious ‘fix’ would be allowing scheduled payments to work properly.
Welcome to Monzo.
Seeing salary sort in advance/automating it are both feature requests since its inception.
I think automating it causes more problems than it solves as people take zero personal responsibility and will blame Monzo.
Salary sort does also remember the different sorts for different payments which you may find useful for your full moon Thursdays.
Well, whatever makes you feel better I guess
. Just look after yourself! Don’t let any internet posts get you down!
Praise be I can work my banking apps though ![]()
Yeah I’m kinda seeing this (albeit a bit late - I’m not great with this search thing. Always shows 50+ and then some of those are closed)
I appreciate how this might be the case had it not been for the implementation of scheduled payments and/or salary sorting. They’ve half done it on one and half done it on the other. This is what is frustrating. If you can think of any plausible reason why Monzo wouldn’t allow scheduled payments to joint pots I’d genuinely love to hear it (not taking the *Michael. Because I just can’t see it - seems like it’s simply been accidentally missed).
Salary sorter I can see being a bit messy by automating. Maybe. But even then, it’s no different to scheduled payments really - which is already partially adopted. Particularly when the current salary sorter is fixed amounts and allows saving those (but only as the first one is being transacted).
Thanks. I’ll take a look next month as I can’t set it up now for whatever reason.
! Looking forward to the end of “full moon Thursdays” ![]()
EDIT: *Michael. As this word is banned, apparently:
I’m not sure who loads these words into the forum, but a dictionary for a secret Santa present might be in order
. The forum is almost as rigid at the Monzo app! Almost.
Probably because it’s an ethnic slur for Irish people.
I attempted to explain why that word might be banned but the AI moderator seems to be being artificially unintelligent.
Thanks for trying. I can’t think of any connotation of the word! Although I am getting on a bit so maybe it’s a new thing? ![]()
Quite the opposite - it’s rather an old-fashioned expression, I think.
Crikey. Not sure what this ‘beef’ is about but I’m happy for the thread to be closed - I’ll work out my woes with salary sorting manually. Didn’t mean to cause WW3 - I just thought I was missing the point or suggesting an improvement
.
Hmm. Well maybe I’m not young but not old enough to remember that one then. Mi*k is short for Michael. I wonder if “Mickey” works…
Trying…..
EDIT: Oh that one works!! Strange!! ![]()
Mi*k is a derogatory term for somebody from Ireland.
never heard of that before! Every days a school day! That’s mad it’s a banned word in a forum considering it’s also not a derogatory term. Hopefully there’s no “M*cks” with Monzo accounts. I know at least 4 who go by that name
.
@AlanDoe Can something be done about my posts being flagged. You and I know exactly who it is.
There is nothing wrong with this. It was part of a conversation before and after, Gonz has replied, I’ve offered help and advice, why is he (Not Gonz) now coming back to flag it, can you take his trust level down or speak to him about it?
Obviously they are Jo’s No1 protector so flag anything I say to him, but this is something else. I thought all this nonsense had ended when they all left for discord, but it appears not.
