I like the pulse. The layout is exactly what I need, balance, today’s spend and the pulse so I can see the spending pattern and balance on each day. I can see 5 transactions on my screen but just touching the pulse graph brings me to that days transactions. Don’t get why there are complaints. Maybe it’s because I’m dyslexic but it’s better for me than a list of things.
I would like to see a red line that can look forward on spending patterns and predict when you are likely to run out of cash!
Some nice AI-driven insights would be great!
I don’t understand what it is telling me and I find navigating it difficult, so I just ignore it.
I’ll avoid the like/hate war for now!
When we’re able to see multiple accounts through the Monzo app, will the Pulse show balance across all accounts, or just Monzo balance? If the latter, will this include Pots as well?
Last question: will we be able to manually choose which accounts are used in the Pulse so we can exclude (for example) long term savings to get a better idea on spendability of balances?
All good questions. I’ve not seen them asked before but I’d definitely like to know the answers.
I want to know where you went after Tesco on the 11th!!!
My guess is that the answer is no to both. I expect the assumption is / will be that you’re not planning to spend money in other accounts / Pots within the current month. (Unless scheduled transfers out of Pots becomes a thing & then it would make sense to include those).
This is how it works at the moment - just move any money that you don’t plan to spend to a Pot & it won’t be shown in the Pulse graph.

For me, the Pulse is the key navigation artefact in the app, particularly when moving between months. I was waiting for the future projections to come on line but my desire for that has been somewhat stated by the labs preview of the Summary screen. As a result I’m less fussed about the ‘future line’ but as I never use it for anything anyway, I guess that’s not a surprise.
I tend to find I also use the Pulse for invisteigating odd dips that I wouldn’t necessarily see from the textual view.
Cheers Alex, that would make sense.
Annoying that Pulse runs from 1st to end of month when I get paid 17th > 16th
Any plans to change this so pulse runs for pay periods?
This is a good point, ideally they should be in sync @anon41842569 Is this something you’ve considered?
My pulse graph looks weird today too. Definitely needs salary date tracking instead
I thought this was a new thread and that it was finally going away or we’d now have the option to hide it… alas it seems this was not the case and it was only a bumped thread
2.1.0 just hit for me on iOS and I have no Pulse chart… is that intentional? I’m not fussed either way but it seems like a big change to make so quietly.
Same version and I still have it
Weird. I’ve restarted the app a few times and it’s still gone.
Yup, syncing the Pulse graph up with your Summary month’s is on our list. Cheers!
I like it. It’s simple, does what it’s supposed to and looks good. The widget is also essential for me - disappointingly still waiting on a bug fix for it!
Would much rather have pulse than summary which I haven’t even enabled and won’t be. It’s too much for me. I’ve been asking for a switch to disable summary and re-enable targets - this option was available in labs.
But that’s maybe just how I roll.
It takes up waaay too much screen real estate and honestly (may it’s just me. Hope not) it’s not at all useful. I’ve voiced my dislike of the bottom navigation bar here before but now there’s this?
Whatever happened to the old saying KISS “keep it simple, stupid”? If anyone from Monzo app development team actually reads these and is in a position of authority I beg you, please, start looking towards a more sophisticated minimal design.
Loving the whole app only banking and there are so many features that are incredibly useful but my god u ugly.
