No issues there. Maybe the fact that switch from using pence to punds and pence confused you?
How about one of these:
putting aside £0.01 on day one, £0.02 on day two, £0.03 on day three, and so on until £3.65 on day 365.
putting aside 1p on day one, 2p on day two, 3p on day three, and so on until 365p (or £3.65) on day 365.

Extra gets 4.10% on challenge pots even though that plan usually comes with 3.60% variable?
Meanwhile, Plus which has 4.10% normally doesn’t even get interest on the challenge savings…

Also don’t get me wrong, I mentioned in an earlier reply I understand this - but Plus sits rights in the middle of Extra and Perks, and there isn’t enough benefit of Perks to make me move and for obvious reasons downgrading also doesn’t appeal

The cinema ticket + pizza express + rail card also makes it very good value to have perks. That’s if you make use of them of course

I’ve got the challenge activated now but I’m only on day 1 even though its 7th Jan. I thought there was going to be an option to backdate so that you’re all caught up - did I imagine this or is there any way to do it?

Not to the 1st no, you can backdate if you miss a few days going forward from the date you start.
It starts the day you set it up. Not at Jan 1st.

I was confused by this too but think the day you sign up is actually day 1.
So your day 365 is the 6th Jan

You already can’t get a new Plus card, had to replace mine as it delaminated and they sent me a coral card
I also don’t care enough that the card in my Apple Pay isn’t holographic, its a nice to have not a need so deffo not a reason to change plan
We don’t get a special card.
They’ll just sunset it. With a message that says: move to a new plan or you’re going back to a regular account on X date.
Unfortunately it was during the challenge setup and I didn’t take screens. We were both asked if we wanted to upgrade to benefit from interest on the challenge… Thinking about it, I actually have the old Monzo Plus so was offered Perks for £7 to get interest, whereas friend was offered Extra for £3 to get the same interest.
It is very wordy to be fair. I imagine they read the first sentence and think “Oh yeah, I’ve done this before or know all about this challenge” and then skip to the part explaining how to sign up.
It goes back to the argument that has been the theme of this topic.
Typically people start these challenges on Jan 1st. Monzo should have waited until next month to avoid confusion or made this clearer.
