Yes, but only for Extra, Perks, Max is what I’m saying, they want to feed Plus/Premium members off those redundant plans… but atm neither Extras or Perks benefits me better than Plus
There will become a point where it’s better for me to go back to a free member rather than ‘Upgrading’ and I imagine thats the same for most other people still on Plus/Premium
Signed up! I know there’s currently no way to take the payment from a pot, but just a +1 for that feature request if it’s a possibility. Like to put all my monthly outgoings in a pot on payday, it’d be nice to budget that month’s payments into it so I know what I’m playing with.
Appreciate that kinda goes against the whole ‘its a daily thing’ but only in this for the monthly draws and £10k chance!
The missus has decided our combined 1p challenge money will be used towards a holiday in Greece in early 2026… £10k extra would go a long way to a nice holiday…
I have Monzo Extra and was asked if I wanted to upgrade to Perks to get Interest on my challenge… However, a friend was offered interest if he joined Monzo Extra… Hmmmm…
Hi @Ra.Li - unfortunately for this release you can’t opt out of earning interest. If you haven’t got an Extra, Perks or Max plan, you will not earn interest on your challenge savings.
If you’ve got a plan and want to do the challenge without earning interest, you can use the IFTTT integration this year.
Fun fact: if Monzo were to let you keep the challenge open, and you continued increasing your contribution by 1p each day, then on day 11,250 (30 years, 9 months, 18 days in) you would have over £1,000,000 in your pot! (assuming 4.1% interest over the life of the challenge) On that final day your contribution would be £112.50, and you would have put a total of £632,868.75 in yourself.
