How do I backdate the missing days since the 1st January?
You don’t, the challenge rolls 365 days from the day you started, NOT from the 1st January - catch up is for if you pause payment into the pot at any point within your 365 day cycle.
Can I start the challenge after the 31st January 2025?
Yes, but only if you are on an Extras, Perks or Max plan and you will no longer be eligible for the £10,000 Prize Draw as you’ve started after the cut off.
How do you get the 4.10% AER on the challenge pot?
Members on a Extras, Perks or Max plan (Extras members who usually get 3.60% on their pots only get the 4.10% on this challenge pot).
How does the monthly draw for the £100 prize work?
Monzo will choose ten winners at random on the first working day of each calendar month starting from February 2025 to (and including) January 2026. They will contact all winners know by email or in the Monzo app and give the prize within 30 days. (Refer to Ts&Cs here)
Do existing Plus/Premium members also get the 4.10% AER on the challenge pot?
No, only members on an Extra, Perks or Max plan. (Refer to Abhi’s post here).
Can I opt out of earning interest on the challenge pot?
No - if you are a Extras, Perks or Max member and don’t want to earn interest, please use the IFTTT applet here (Refer to Abhi’s post here).

I was skeptical of whether I would be able to join the savings challenge considering Monzo won’t let me get paid plans, investments or pensions. Considering theres not even interest gained for me, I really don’t get why I wouldn’t be able to join this

When I go to upgrade/apply, it says somethings gone wrong. I get that support can’t tell me exactly why to avoid exploiting the system but i’ve never used my account maliciously. I’ve only been using it for day to day transactions

After making a quick calculation, I’d need to put minimum £900 into the pot from day 1 for the interest to offset the £36 annual subscription fee. Basically it’s paying £36 to join the monthly lucky draw.
I’m tempted too, since I can’t offset the cost of Perks for my circumstances.
Oh okay I gotcha, just had a quick look at your other posts across Discourse and it looks like its an account issue not a device if you’re unable to get any of the products Monzo offer.
You’ll never know but you can probably rule out a lack of credit history as you have Flex and an overdraft - not sure what the similar eligibility requirements for the other products you’re unable to get are.
I appreciate that probably isn’t what you want to hear, but doesn’t mean you won’t become eligible in the future.

I’ll probably still do the challenge through IFTTT but it the app makes it so much more simpler and intuitive.
I find it weird that I have the facilities to borrow money from Monzo, but not get products that simply add features. Nevertheless, I hope I become eligible in the future but I just don’t know when😅
Dig your heels in with chat, insist it be escalated etc until you get a proper answer.
I’ve tried numerous times but all i’ve got was the exact same response from chat, but in a letter. I’ve even tried escalating it to the FOS but they’ve sided with Monzo as they don’t have to offer anything if they don’t want to (which I understand)
