I just put a comment on a facebook post of yours and you directed me here! Can you create a kids account? Or allow a ‘POT’ to be set up on a parents account for a child to have their own card for? Its so easy to control finances & spending with Monzo - its a must for kids - nothing else like it out their for them!

Hi Are there any plans to introduce a kids account in a similar way to Go Henry? We tried Go Henry but the user experience is terrible and the charges. A good free(ish) version by Monzo would be snapped up and get more adults onboard I would have thought.

Accounts / pots for kids with own debit card

Similar to the recently launched Revolut Junior and Starling Kite this would be a much needed feature in this modern day I think. I currently use Revolut purely for this card for my daughter but to have a similar feature in Monzo would be even better. Even being able to have pots with their own spending cards which could be given to kids might be the easiest way of implementing it. Starling don’t have an app for kids but Revolut allow the kids to download a watered down app to see their spending…

Under 18s accounts

Now that the current account is live, I tried to get my son signed up and get a place in the queue. He is 16 but I understood that the current account would be available to under 18 year olds. The sign up process still requires to be over 18, when will this change?

Hi guys, I’m guessing you (monzo) know how soldo kids account works, whereby the kids accounts are embedded into the parents account, the problem is that saldo charge for this and I’m sure monzo would be able to offer sumit similar without the monthly charges. It just seems so hard to get young kids an account that is build for this century…

Hightreet banks currently offer junior bank accounts from age 11, is this something monzo would think of doing?

It would be convenient to open an child account to give pocket money and monitor child’s spending.

I was thinking of trying to setup accounts for my kids to teach them and show them how money is used and how important it is to understand it’s use. Could this be a possibility with monzo? Like having tutorials to teach and educate them and to help us to teach them too, kids accounts that they can use to help them understand how banking and money work? Thinking the age range would be from 5yrs upwards

Why are Monzo not launching a kids account like this @ £2.00 a month it would probably raise more money than Plus and would introduce a new generation to Monzo who will hopefully carry on using them as they grow older and start earning a wage Monzo is missing so many ways to generate revenue So glad Tom Bloomfield is out of the way so the bank can start concentrating on actually being a Bank

Common request that isn’t actually that popular. Never say never though. As long as they fix joint accounts first.
