No transaction history even though payment approved

I was trying to book a virgin atlantic flight. When I clicked confirm and pay, it opened a portal and waited for me to approve the transaction in the monzo app which I did but then the portal said error 404. No money was deducted or anything and no flight was booked because I see no flight in my virgin atlantic account. I am just concerned that when I wake up tomorrow it I will see the payment deducted. Because it failed once I tried again but it gave same error 404. I am worried about any delayed charge appearing.

I would not be worried if there was a “Failed” or “Pending” transaction but there is just no entry in the activity about my approval of the payment.

Am I worried for nothing?

Your best option would be to contact the airline and see if they have any bookings for you, you may not have booking details but they can use information like your name, payment details (last 4 digits of the card used) and the date/time and destination to check their systems.

If they don’t have anything then its safe to assume nothing will leave your account - it does sound like the page failed before the payment could process but always best to confirm.

If nothing is showing up at all and your available balance isn’t affected then it didn’t get far enough in the process to make any kind of transaction.
