New webpage for the free Monzo account

Looks great. Bright Banking sounds good to me. The picture of the card at an angle is upside down. The logos of regulations etc are all bunched up. Also there’s a left/right scroll on the page which makes scrolling down wobbly. I’m using iPhone. Finally, can’t see any mention of Get Paid Early.

Get Paid Early, while a great feature, has a slight ‘Google’ flavour to it -:soon:

Hard to believe it was an accidental omission… so expect it to be in the paid accounts only soon??

Or removed like locked pots were.

The amount of questions we get on here about it alone are absurd, nevermind what customer support must be dealing with on a daily basis :grimacing:

Not a fan of ‘Bright Banking’ either I’m afraid. There’s something about it that just doesn’t sound right and I can’t put my finger on what it is.

When I look up the definition of bright I get:

  • Giving out or reflecting much light; shining.
  • Intelligent and quick-witted

So I can only assume it’s the second definition and therefore you’re saying ‘Intelligent and quick-witted banking’ - which for me is a little odd/vague and it doesn’t excite me.

Whenever I speak to people about Monzo the thing that always peaks their interest is that everything is instant. Transfers, balance updates, transactions and the pots. Perhaps there’s something in there that you can go off and I’m sorry that I can’t be more constructive :pensive:

Or made to happen automatically and silently in the background, so everyone can get the benefit and no-one knows to complain on the occasions it doesn’t work (because of recalls).

Then we’d get people complaining that it has messed up their monthly budgets  But who knows - it could be

I’ve just realised Virgin Money is using the slogan “Say hello to brighter money” on some of their website pages and stores. It’s not very unique for you to then use “Bright Banking”
