@tristan - couple of posts on Facebook saying the link is displaying 404 error code
You mentioned about a feed item appearing to start the verification. Do we know what triggers it?
Thanks Ian — I think that was a 2 minute thing — seems to be working now
@Jkb114 We trigger it
I guess it’s a case of waiting then
@Jkb114 You can check with customer support if you’ve been verified and they can trigger it if not
Ah right. Cool I’ll check it out
@tristan they managed to trigger it but after doing it they told me somehow I was verified at sign up. Weird.
According to a commenter of the Facebook post, this feature is already available on the iOS version. Could you confirm that please? And if it’s true, how do we enable it?
Same way @tristan mentioned, support will trigger it if you need it. Most people seem to be automatically verified on signup through various methods though.
Maybe it’s time to put a little verified tick on the profile (along with better messages around limits and send money errors) seeing as this seems to cause mass confusion every time it’s mentioned?
Yeah it seemed like I was verified at sign up but I’m not sure how. I didn’t sign up any differently to anyone else and the support team didn’t seem to notice I was already verified.
I agree with both those points.
I tired the verification when it was still in beta but didn’t hear anything back whether it worked, so a tick would have been useful.
When I started using Monzo I topped up £700. I forgot about the limits so Monzo held my money back. By the time I submitted my docs and the money arrived in my bank account it had been nearly 5 days without access to my money!
Hey, please may I ask who you use for identity verification?
Thanks
Anyone that wants to. The limits are low without verifying.
I believe it was built entirely in-house. Not difficult to do.
I’m curious as how this will pick up on the very subtle differences between ‘identical’ siblings. Most humans can’t differentiate between them, some even so alike that their own parents can’t tell the difference.
Is it really that accurate to find those subtleties without causing frustration for the applicant?
I sometimes mix up my wife and her sister in photos. They’re not even twins but they could easily pretend to be.
