After an update (v6.50.0) my app icon preference was not respected and returned to the default.
And I’m not a fan of the new 3D look.

Personally, I do NOT like any of the political overtones that Monzo use:
I think that generic designs are what people really want.
Just recently Barclays scrubbed their into wallpaper (if you bank with them) for the default blue gradient of old.
My complaint however was the style of the new icon, as I prefer flat and am not using the latest version of iOS (they could check for that and display as appropriate).
