Issue:
Selecting a custom app icon confirms the change, but the icons stays the same. Weirdly the icon in the app switcher is different again, and shows an old icon that is no longer available.

OS: iOS
Device: iPhone 15
App Version: 5.72.0 #5720051

Can’t reproduce this on my 15PM.
Try deleting the app, rebooting your iPhone, then installing again.
This is just iOS caching the icon rather than an app bug. Probably don’t need to reinstall the app, a phone reboot usually fixes it, or it’ll update after a time.
I actually came here to post after deleting and reinstalling the app, because I was also having some unrelated troubles
You were right though - after a phone reboot it all seems happy. Icon probably needs clearing from the cache when changing
