I was just updating my PayPal to use Monzo instead (I thought I’d caught everything months ago, but this one slipped through the net). They have a process where they send you a penny and there’s a code attached. The funny thing is that when you click through to the screen where you enter the code they say that they haven’t sent it yet. Even though they have, and it’s appeared in the Monzo feed. Their systems just don’t expect you to be able to see it to immediately, and I think that whatever backend system updates that page to say that they have sent it have a queue that operates over the 10 to 20 second range, not expecting immediate entry of said code to be a requirement (“check back in a couple of days”). Lolz .
