I would like to get people to pay directly into my Monzo pot how do i do that

Hi Rosco1,

At the minute, this currently isn’t possible, as the pots are simply a way of splitting up money within the current account - they don’t have their own account details for each pot.

One workaround would be to use Salary Sorter to split the payment into one of your pots. Whilst this isn’t the solution you were looking for, this is a decent alternative.

Of course, that’s not really a workaround. It’s doing something completely different.

The easiest thing to do would be to simply move the money into the pot. But that’s also not a solution to your ‘problem’.

It’s an interesting idea but unfortunately it just can’t be done.

You can see the issue, pots are an internal thing within Monzo, all the people paying into.your account via traditional methods can only do so with a standard sort code and account number.

The option of an auto sorter would be possible.

Revolut just launched similar; paid early works automatically and as soon as it does, you can set it to move it to all your Pockets right away before you’ve even logged in.

It’s a great idea, the ‘auto-sorter’ would need to know that funds from ‘payer a’ goes to ‘pot a’, etc.

This could be extended to under-16 accounts (pots!!!)

Ok Google, get Monzo to implement this before Xmas.

Pay directly to pots via Monzo Me / Bank transfers

Hello! So I have a few different pots and sometimes I would like incoming funds to go directly to one of these pots. At the moment I need to wait for it to hit my main account then transfer out to the appropriate pot. At a minimum it would be cool if you guys could support payments straight to log in Monzo Me. For example, could append the pot name to the monzo.me URL such as ?pot=stag-party Further to that, if you could have some magic to allow bank transfers to specific pots… could have a b…

Payment links into pots

I’d like the ability for payment links to automatically send the money to a specified pot. For example I’m collecting money for a leaving gift for a work colleague and I want all donations to go into a “Present for Barry” pot to keep it separate from my personal money.

Automatically sort payments into pots by reference number

A really great feature would be the ability to link multiple references directly with pots so that when they arrive with the specified reference they are automatically transferred over to the pot the reference is linked with. For example, I have a pot for my car and another for my household bills, I would like to link the reference of “Car” to the car pot and “Mortgage” or “Electricity” to the household bills pot, then If my partner was to send me money with a linked reference then the payment …
