Monzo Pot Image Generator

Still an excellent resource. Thank you again.

Could it be possible to please make the scale customisable?

For example, if I wanted the scale to be 97% for the image I could just edit the percentage instead of using the - or + buttons to jump 25%. Would be great to ensure all icons look the correct size at specific scales (the icons can just vary at specific scales and 25% increments can be too big a jump).

Yeah I’ve had the same issue myself - I’ve added it to the list to look into.

This is all absolutely amazing!

Only reason I haven’t created a load is because all my pots are hidden, bar my credit card ones which have their own images :man_shrugging::man_facepalming:

I’ve just released 2.2 with some new features:

  • Design tweaks to be better on wider screens
  • Custom gradients including generating random ones (hi @BritishLibrary)
  • Icon rotation
  • Custom icon sizing as requested by @Chapuys
  • Font Awesome Pro: Solid, regular, light, and duotone are all available
  • Filters for icon types

Font Awesome Pro could have been there in the beginning but I didn’t realise the license allowed for hosting yourself so it can work indefinitely. @Addzy you were asking for this one.

The duotone icons are really nice (bonus custom gradient):

Enjoy! https://potimages.rknight.me

Are you seriously saying I have to go and redo all of my pots again and try and work out what the best duotone icons are to go with a possible 281,474,980,000,000 colour gradient combinations

I can only summarise this with one image:

jokes this is awesome

Hope you don’t mind my jesting.

This is seriously amazing though. Love the ability to customise everything.

I hope Monzo try to buy this off you and pay you very handsomely.

Thanks again

Are flag icons a possibility?

I’m limited by the icon set so no flags I’m afraid.

I think I know what’s causing this, I’ll see if I can fix it today. Sorry about that.

Okay I managed to squeeze in a fix before work. I think the issue was showing all the icons at the same time (1851 icons x 4 styles + 449 brands).

I’ve changed the filters to be radio buttons so you can only show one style at a time, which should help with the slowdowns (as it’s basically as it was before now).

Amazing - thank you!

As a quick top tip - if anyone is trying to find some nice colour combinations for the gradient maker - this website helps generate random but complimentary colour palettes:

it also turns out this tool is useful for replies on the forum too…

I’ve updated my pot images :hot_coral_heart:

A really nice side effect has been that the icons are bang on centre in the cropped pots images in the feed. Looking beautiful. :hot_coral_heart: :hot_coral_heart:

Adobe also have a good colour tool, Adobe Color, too.

I’ve been looking through my list and there’s not a lot on there now apart from a few little tweaks. I need to do a bit of a rewrite to be able to support Font Awesome 6 when that comes out later this year (I’ll support both side-by-side if I can, or it’ll be a separate page on the site).

Here’s what I have on my list still:

  • Better gallery - I want to add more brand images (especially credit card brand colours) and some more general examples
  • Switch between the different icon types in the preview
  • Add the name of the icon below in search

Is there anything other features people want that might make it more useful/nicer to use? I’m open to suggestions of use-cases I might have missed or interesting ideas.
