Monzo Plus - what would you like to see?

Well I certainly know more about the Flexible Savings Pots than COps seem too…

You’re right, that directly relates to the running of operations.

It absolutely does my nut in when people say stuff like that, as if they have a single laptop that a couple of people crowd round and they have to divvy out time very carefully. They have 15 different product teams working on developing different things at the moment. Someone working on a lovely piece of UI/UX that’s really smart looking has absolutely no effect on the production (or lack of) of other parts of the product. Imagine walking up to the counter at a greggs and asking why the person that’s currently working on some of the food that you’re not interested in is bothering with that and not being a 5th hand on the sausage rolls because you’re hungry for some of those.

Greggs have a marketing team who make the stores look decent. You don’t see them making sausage rolls.

In the grand scheme of things I don’t think it adds up to very much time. The little things often mean a lot to some people and having a bare looking app can put people off.
That’s not to say everyone’s priorities are always right though.

And I’d love for that animation to be used for something useful like reordering Pots that people are clamouring for that would be used daily by thousands of customers, rather than something that’s going to been seen once by a very small subset of people.

As a customer and Investor in Monzo I want more useful features. I’m entitled to my opinion, you’re entitled to yours.

I beilive the blog post I shared above highlighted the fact the animation was designed with future use in mind. It’s not tied to just being used for new card designs.

+1 for this.

It’s such an awful product that it risks harming the brand.

I love the idea of Monzo plus but £6 a month for what’s currently on offer is disappointing. 2 alternative choices of card colour I would expect to be free (or at most a one of payment of a couple of quid). I think it needs more compelling offers to make it worthwhile - annual travel insurance, breakdown cover, mobile phone cover - things that are a hassle to arrange separately so they feel like greater value.

Which is exactly why I have a Nationwide Flexplus account. £13 a month minus the £6.08 a month they give me in interest and I get the insurance I want. Plus, I’m over 46 and under whatever their upper age limit is, so I’m covered, by a long way!

Don’t the machines do that?

My office is above one of those, still never been in…

You need to go further North and go beyond the wall. Monzo has visited the wildlings before… 'twas great. Their order didn’t turn up on time so they just bought drinks from the Waitrose across the road.

I was stalking the forum and found this RE: Premium Accounts…

How times change, eh!

To be fair they’re not pulling features and putting them behind a pay wall. Standard banking is still free, what people are paying for here are add-ons outside of standard banking.

Standard baking might be free, but what about banking?

I do like the idea of free cakes mind you…:kissing_heart:

Ha! I doubled checked as well because my phone keyboard is always catching me out :grinning:

sadly i agree £6 a month for whats currently on offer is a no go. For a start a black card would be epic but my guess is this is being held back to go with some future offering, seeing as black cards usually mean premium.

Wondered how long the waiting list is and how long to here if you have signed up for this.
