There’s nothing in there that’s worth £5 a month for me.
I do wonder if at some point Monzo will go down the Tandem route and sack off all the non-paying customers, but that’s for another thread.

The Greggs one as it was certainly isn’t sustainable; my understanding is that Monzo were bankrolling it out of their own pocket to (a) test how it worked, and (b) gather data they could use to convince companies it would be worthwhile partnering on such a scheme.
I was suggesting that additional offers would be something you would keep; no suggestion that it should be trials. I still use Pact and have still got the preferential pricing from the original Plus. Has saved me >£50 so far.
I think the problem for me is all the offers will cost me money
I don’t use anything like them so it’s just going to be costing me rather than saving me money on things I actually do buy
I would have been happy with just decent phone or travel insurance tbh.
But some kind of permanent percentage based discounts like what the AA member benefits offer would have been good, for instance 45% off at Vue cinema or 10% off at Halfords, so on.
Id rather have 1 or 2 decent reusable discount benefits than a handful of useless ones.
This really is a token feature which, honestly, I thought Monzo was above, since I thought Monzo was about not doing something for the sake of doing it just because the grandad banks do. Like adding in a useless insurance feature.
I see how its a potential revenue stream and a simple value added to the customer base, but really who cares about some discount that could easily be found on Google for these coupon happy companies.
I’d like Monzo Plus to use someone like Reward Gateway (that I get through my work) who aggregate a lot of quidco-like offers into a branded site, that way it could get a lot higher coverage of useful offers rather than the bespoke bits and bobs as it stands now.
Also why not offer some of the Mastercard benefits available to card issuers (presumably for a fee), I would imagine they would be fairly simple to set up, although perhaps they’re being held back for the rumoured Monzo Plus Premium Prime given they’re a bit airport-y/insurance-y
After the disappointment of Monzo Plus v1 I’m incredibly disappointed at this side of the reimagined plus. Some nice functional addons which have perked my interest but I can say with that some value added offers or ever improving offers /reward scheme i’d have subscribed by now. To have it there in its current form is almost counter productive… they’d be better saying its not a direction they’re going with Plus.
What would have been cool, if they had launched Monzo Points as part of Plus
yep, people like to feel like they get a little more, and maybe that’s childish but Monzo has been great for me. I’m much better at saving to the point it’s almost an achievement unlocked when I stick bits away every payday.
it’s a funny thing, I think the brand monzo has built has got people thinking about the ‘fun side of banking’, ultimately something pretty serious
I realise Monzo don’t have the clout or resource to deliver cheap Netflix or Vodafone rewards but if that IS true they perhaps shouldn’t allude that it might be.
virtual cards and roundups are convenient to me but honestly it’s easier for me to choose the basic monzo offering as doing enough for me and my family already
I’ve invested and been a beta user myself and will support where I can but I want the experience to keep on adding that edge and satisfaction in banking
And do they have money off various companies?
Trying to see what this has to do with the Monzo Plus offers thread
They split the Monzo plus thread into a gazillion pieces so I just picked the most relevant post. I am soooo sorry if I have upset you.
This?
Put all your accounts in there so they make you debt free and give you a loan?
Rather you than me!
Thanks for your apology. I will work on forgiving you
It might take a while and perhaps some therapy but I’ll be sure to get back to you when I have
Oh I won’t be taking a loan. Just be using the great software for free.
Tbf i agree as I get like 3x the value just by flashing my student id which is free
Nothing useful that’s worth paying extra for. Mobile insurance would be useful and worth paying for.
Am I the only one who’s disappointed to see Monzo getting into bed with companies like Babylon Health? Are Monzo officially pro privatising the NHS by the backdoor?
Yeah, I hate the idea of the NHS taking advantage of modern technology. Much prefer to queue in the rain to book my appointments
For you.
I’m not paying for bad insurance that will bodge my phone.
