Monzo Plus - here's what's coming next!

We’ve invited 1500 people from the waiting list. Now that we’ve upgraded the travel insurance policy, we should be able to go a bit faster. We’re hoping to invite 2000 more people this week :tada:

Any timeline for the new features?

And that’s me refreshing the app every 10 mins…

Same  here . Signed up very early. Via a deep link sign-up even before it was a public sign-up IIRC. Then signed up when it was public once, twice, maybe “quite a few times” by now.

Hopefully soon :monzo: :crossed_fingers:

Stop it, I even got excited earlier when I was in a shop paying for something and the notification popped up but it turned out It was the transaction that the phone was in my hand for…whodathunkit

With finally being given the ability to open a non-isa savings pot, the only thing remaining to make my Monzo life whole would be access to Monzo Plus!

Here is hoping for an invite soon…

Well after all the waiting the invite just popped in and I signed up.
Keeping my investor card for the moment but hopefully my £3 a month will help Monzo see that there’s commitment from the customer base for offering us value from a paid for service.
(Here’s holding out for a good deal on gadget insurance  )

How do you sign up and keep your current card?

After you’ve signed up you get the option to order a new card. You can just say no  I’ve just signed up for £3/month.

Exactly my thinking, if and when my invite pops up… (hi @tjvr!!)

Can someone explain to me the need and/or want for a metal card which seems to be common place in this thread?

I think time and effort should be focused on improving the core offering and innovating as opposed to fetishising that kind of exclusivity.

My new phone doesn’t have NFC(Redmi Note 7); so I’ve been using my card… alot…

Have signed up flair a Lagoon Blue card, here’s hoping it’s as nice as it looks in photos. :grinning:

It’s the latest trend. Just like with everything else, it’s the current “look at me” I’m the first to have one kind of thing.

I do think a coral one would look amazing though

It is minimal effort on Monzos behalf because someone else will manufacture them, like the current cards. So if it attracts more people to sign up to Monzo Plus then its a quick win if you ask me

Given I have a very minimal wallet (3 cards and occasionally a note or two), a metal card would double the weight of the lump in my pocket! Bonkers.

But you’d still have one though, right? :see_no_evil:

No! I don’t need it, won’t be getting a new card if I ever (ever ever ever!!!) get into Monzo Plus either. No need for it.

Exclusivity.. kind of the whole point of Monzo Plus :man_shrugging:

I wonder why they didn’t call it Monzo Exclusive? If it was exclusive, it would be restricted to a certain number of users, not open to anyone with £3 per month to spare.

I understand Monzo Plus as something which people may want to pay for as it offers value in return.

A metal card does not offer any value, it just takes money away from being used on something useful.

I just don’t like the wasteful and showoff nature of initiatives like this.
