Can confirm card payments work ok.

Good this. I was a bit worried as I’d let my main balance go down to 71p and needed to transfer money back from my savings, which I was still able to do.

While the app going down isn’t ideal this is great to see. Far better than just a spinning wheel of doom.

An update on the status page:

We’ve identified the cause of the problem and we’re working on a fix. We’re currently running the Monzo app in a backup mode but you’re still able to use your card as usual, make ATM withdrawals, and receive inbound and make outbound bank transfers.

I also found I could see the transactions when tapping the account.

Damn, Missed the cool backup mode screen - could we have that as an accessibility mode though?, If this hit the news I guarantee there will be loads of “This is why cash is king” comments :smiley:, even though it’s still working and nothing is actually broken apart from the sensory overload, they call the UI

Sorry about the delay everyone - the team were working to make sure everything was correct.

We’ve resolved the issue so you’ll be able to use the app as normal now :white_check_mark:

Because of a technical issue earlier today we moved to our backup systems which let you make bank transfers, card payments and ATM withdrawals as normal, see your balances and transactions, freeze your card, move money between accounts and Pots and contact us if you need to.

A nice fall-back version of the app. Looks like it shows closed accounts, for me at least. I closed my original Flex and re-opened it (both are showing) and I’ve previously held a joint account which is now closed but is shown in the backup app.

Yea - It just says if you had any bills that didn’t go through (which would be unlucky since DD happen in the early hours) you shouldn’t be charged.
