I’ve only seen that over weekends. During the week it’s day before, same as usual
Not sure id understand the reasoning behind that if thats the case.
Would be nice if someone could clarify on this though.
I get paid on a Wednesday
Tuesday morning: I see the upcoming salary on my feed
Tuesday after 4pm: I can get it paid into my account early
Wednesday: when I’d usually get the salary if not paid early
It’s never appeared 2 days before for me
Just trying to avail of what i thought was a monzo feature to be honest.
I know my salary will come in but that extra reassurance is never a bad thing is it?
It hasnt appeared 2 days before for me as i think this was only launched within the last month from what i remember due to monzo getting the BACS payments earlier.
I did however have another BACS payment from phone cashback that was due in my account on yesterday/tuesday (14th) and i seen it on friday in my feed and was able to claim it early on the monday.
So i guess id just like a bit more clarity
No, the two days is within the normal BACS 3 day cycle I think, no early posting required.
Tomorrow’s gas bill DD has just appeared so if I’m guessing I’d say that the early warning has dropped back to one day only. Which would be a shame.
Yeah my salary also has come up now which is due on friday.
Would still be good to get this clarified, dont understand why it would only be taken into account at weekends?
@nexusmaniac @alandoe could we maybe get clarity on this please
Yeah seems they’ve changed back to notice the day before only again. I preferred the longer notice, though I suspect there were too many support queries about the change.
So I changed my bank details with my employer last week and my pay day is this week Friday (28th September) however nothing has appeared on my account to say how much I’ll be getting (Wednesday) if it’s then due to be ready 4pm Thursday, nothing in grey has appeared and no notification. Does this mean I’m not eligible for it? I forgot to ask my employer if I’m paid by Bacs or not. Or does the wages in grey appear on the day it’s happening (Thursday) so the same day it’s due?
Just a little confused that’s all. Apologies
It could be you’re not paid by BACS or you don’t change your bank details in time for your employer to update your records.
I think I have read that it doesn’t always work on the first payment but I could be thinking of something else
Check back after 9am today if youre in fact paid by bacs. Should show as grey payment then
When I got it paid in my old account I got it on a Friday so I should now recieve it on Thursday by 4pm but it’s 3:15am and no grey payment is showing
If you are paid via BACS, the payment will be in your feed now, greyed out. If it is, and you tap on it, you will be informed it can be claimed early, on or after, 4pm today.
If there isn’t an entry in your feed by now - and you are definitely paid on Friday - your payment will likely be via Faster Payments. With Faster Payments, Monzo has no advanced warning of the incoming payment and so can’t show it in your feed (greyed out) or perform the Get Paid Early feature.
Once you’ve been paid, tap on the transaction and check the details. If you can see “Number of payments”, “Total sent” and/or “Total received” at the bottom of the details - you’ve been paid by Faster Payments.
BACS payments were showing for me yesterday evening well before midnight.
Sorry i meant 9am… if your due to get paid on a certain day then it will appear in your feed from 9am one day before.
You can then claim it early from 4pm on that day (day before you get paid)
So as you are due to get paid tomorrow (friday) and it is now thursday after 9am it should be there?
If not then check the payment details tomorrow to see if it states if its a BACS payment or a faster payment.
Unfortunately you cannot claim faster payments early with monzo
My wages are due in tomorrow. The grey feed was showing yesterday afternoon … I can cash it today after 4pm.
The grey feed appeared 3 days before
Best one is getting £6 income bond interest early
Yeah I claim it early too
I get paid by Bacs, I know that now but there’s still no greyed out amount appearing on my account
If there’s nothing there now and you’re due to get paid tomorrow, you probably don’t get paid by BACS.
A lot of employers still call it that when it isn’t and they go via faster payments.
If you’re due to be paid on Friday and that’s the date it went in at your old bank - only after that day has passed should you be concerned.
Try not to become reliant on the paid early feature as it can be withdrawn at anytime
