An error that isn’t our fault and has now caused issues for people. I’ve now made agreements to pay an overdue bill today because I saw that and now I’m going to have the company and try and explain it.

With all the best will in the world, even if a staff member does come by again, a forum moderator will not have the authority to issue short term loans to customers.

People must know when pay day is though, so should be obvious it’s a mistake. It’s like a basic rule of don’t spend it till you got it.
If it was any other bank you would still be waiting until payday, so the fact you will get it a day earlier should just be seen as a win but not relied on as a given.
They certainly aren’t going to pay you out of their pocket before it’s with them.

I trust monzo and trust what they put on my app. I dont see why I need to assume it’s a mistake when it’s visible as I believe they know what they are doing

You’ve used get paid early before so you know how it works and that it’s never on the weekend

I just assumed it had changed as I had updated the app and they change stuff all the time
No I trust monzo the right amount I just haven’t seen them make a mistake like this before
They make mistakes all the time, everyone does, I wouldn’t trust a business over my own conclusion of its the weekend so nothing would be paid on a sat/sun, that the date was earlier than normal, and that they really wouldn’t be paying people out of their own pocket 1 day earlier that it’s cleared to them, it would cripple the business if they did that.

To be fair, there will be somewhere according to monzo t and c that they can withdraw it at any time. Also it was a mistake, so people should not axpect the money today when it’s probally day 1 of the bacs cycle.
There is and they basically tell you not to become reliant on it.

Exactly what I said mate. Even getting it a day ealier is a bonus, even a better bonus a payday Monday is paid on the Friday… So people should stop complaining
