Ah good point. I need more coffee

This post suggests you can use a card or transfer money in:

But I’m not clear how you can transfer cash without an IBAN

Down another 100 to 586.

I thought Irish bank accounts had sort codes and account numbers like uk banks for Ireland.

Possibly the same way as Revolut used to back in the days… if the person is on monzo already it can be done.

If not then it cannot be done

Nah, those are gone years :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

They do still have a sortcode and account number, but they are only ever displayed in IBAN form. The individual sort codes and account numbers are no longer used. This is standardised across all countries that use the Euro – they all use IBANs.

How does the waitlist work - I was dropping 100 and today I dropped 82. The wait list seems all over the place doesn’t it or is it just me?

Slowly getting there. About another 5 days maybe :woman_shrugging:

I’m plus 5,000 so maybe I get or maybe I won’t,if I do ,be 50 days more :scream:

Surely your current bank offers more than the “prepaid card” style system Monzo offers IRE for now?

My bank does but bank fees are a killer.

At a guess, Monzo will cover the fees initially to reign folks in then apply them as standard after year one.

Was thinking be that. Charging a fee ok as long as not as mad as of Irish bank fees by pillar Irish banks .

They will want to undercut the market for sure, taking on Revolut mostly (their biggest competition in Ireland).
