So like a custom āinternal CASSā without closing the single account?
I think thatās a wicked idea!
One that would save a lot of time doing it manually
(well, it depends on how many DDās youāve got setup I suppose

Itās not just the time - itās the risk. I realise it may not come under the CASS guarantee, but at least automating it would make it easier and hopefully less likely to go wrong. I did once ask @simonb how to do it and he said it wasnāt currently possible, so hopefully itās on a list somewhere!
Has another update just dropped? @nexusmaniac 2.29.1?
Certainly looks like it. Fixing minor issues / bug from yesterdayās I imagine.
Seems like it - wow, weāre now on daily beta updates?
Minor version update so nothing big.
Our in-house coral detective will confirm in due course
@nexusmaniac
Yep
2.29.1 is here
I wasnāt on the lookout for it today
@Peter_G is correct
minor bug fixed! Looks like the upcoming integration was a bit wonky so the Android team have patched it up
Happy Thursday!
And what better way to spend it than having a nosy at what Monzo have done in version 2.30.0
Changelog:

Immediately noticeable changes
Investor card on the account page

New Labs Flag for Android

Shared Tabs has its own tab

Thereās nothing better than a sneak peak at something new

So hereās an early look at the new Pot Detail design
The Investec Savings Pot is even more amazing
Shows:
But hereās a look at a Coin Jar!

How are you getting to this view? Iāve downloaded 2.30.0 and canāt seem to find it
Aha, itās not something you can access from the UI
you need to use a ādeep linkā with a Pot ID obtained from the Monzo API
Itās not easily accessible for the masses yet
The good news is that Monzo have this new UI hidden behind a feature flag
So it could appear for anybody at any time (assuming thereās no show stopping bugs)
The format, if anybody is interested
is:
monzo://pot_detail/{pot_id}
(where {pot_id} is obtained from Monzoās API)
He will be triggering the custom flags either from the API itself or a custom launcher.

I noticed a mini bug. The refreshing animation circle appears and wonāt go away on the payments tab.
Yep itās a known bug
Gutted there is no investor card on the iOS TestFlight
![]()

This is what is shown on the interest pot screen.
The breakdown of interest per month and the total is definitely a welcome change.

Iāve even been to the gym today
Glad the beta arrived this morning
And saving the least exciting new stuff for last
(well, itās still exciting! Just not āPot Detailā exciting
)
Some new graphics

Our investor card image

And its frozen counterpart
(Iām really not sure why a regular frozen card wasnāt enough
but points for attention to detail
(Iām wonder if Monzo could use a āfrozen_card_overlay.pngā instead?
It might save on future maintenance)

And then we have a boring change followed by an interesting one

Simple name change and a bit of a shrink (went from ic_default_pot.png to ic_regular_pot.png - I would hazard a guess that this is due to the incoming Pots expansion!) (Left: old, Right: new)
When Pots started, they were simple. Monzo is now growing Pots at significant speed!
Now thereās more than 1 type (with more in the works
) default no longer fits the bill
Itās not so secret really
Donāt forget that thereās, currently, 4 types of Pot! Theyāre just not available to the public yet
<string name="pot_class_title">Select Pot type</string>
<string name="pot_class_title_investments">Investment Pot</string>
<string name="pot_class_title_regular">Regular Pot</string>
<string name="pot_class_title_savings">Savings Pot</string>
<string name="pot_committed_spending_name">Committed Spending</string>
And finally, recurring payments
This is an icon which youāll see (
) in your Pot Detail screen

I suppose it wouldnāt be fair to keep it to myself
Hereās what it looks like in action!

Iām not entirely sure why Monzo didnāt just re-use the icon from āScheduled Paymentsā ic_action_manage_direct_debits.png

Perhaps somebody from the Android Dev team can shed some light on those couple of Qās
(@ataulm, @edwoollard)
Bravo sir
