After poking around the new beta build and not finding much, I’m curious to see after a teardown if there’s anything in the new build that isn’t live yet - like something waiting for a server-side switch or something which points to a future feature?

Aha, this has been discussed loads 
though a version does exist it’s nowhere near ready for the masses - we’d likely get plenty of warning too 
The only visual change observed, so far, is the font in some areas of the app

Well… New year, new teardown
0 additional images hidden away inside the app (that I’m aware of) 
There’s signs of an integration with a 3rd party 
- I’ll leave Monzo to announce this one, it’s exciting 
There’s a fair bit of tidying that’s gone on over winter! 
Loads of old PrePaid code has been demolished 
(I’m not sure if there’s any more remnants but it’s looking pretty good to me)

There’s also a mysterious new font It’s part of a move to the refreshed Material Design (straight out of Google) it’s interesting, I’ll have to see how quickly it grows on me

Based on the top left corner of these designs showing that they’re still only designs, I think we’re a little while away (sadly) 
but I’ve got faith in the amazing app teams 
I doubt it’ll be long before I’m sharing the first screenshots of a beta with this incredible looking page!

Ohhh third party integration… ill have a guess at it being flux but would love it to be another savings pot partner to give a flavour of how it could be.

I think next time you have nothing to see, go one further and use steganography (the detail can’t be seen on mobile with the spoiler and I definitely did not resort to reading the source code…)

I think there was already a closed pilot from a while back with monzo but nothing has been progressed in quite some time.
Would make sense now that its been fully rolled out to starling that monzo would aim to do the same

The source code is the only way to view this I’m afraid 
it was unintended but I decided to leave it hehe 
I believe that’s been the case for a long while there are members of the forum who do have a flux / monzo integration already (via the Flux app iirc)
Oooo, I’d love it if the Monzo app became more like Google’s new material theming rollout.

The warning about Joint Account’s can’t be switched has gone so I wonder if this means it’s ready to go live. I’m not going to test mine just yet either but will later in the month.

Based on the wording I’ve seen buried inside the app, I’d hazard a guess as to it being in a near ready state 
I’ve no doubt some people will give it a go, even before these changes people have had some success 
But waiting until an official announcement on something like this would certainly be the sensible play 
If you do happen to test it, be sure to shout if it works 
What I’d really like to see is a way of moving your DDs and salary from single to joint, within Monzo.
