My Monzo App won’t open. I click on the icon and the icon sits in the middle of my screen for about 3 seconds and then disappears. I have uninstalled twice and restarted my phone twice. Still doesn’t open. I have recently had an update on my Google Pixel 6.

Firstly, I’d try just force quitting the app, then opening the app and then trying your action again.
If that doesn’t work, I’d then try:
- Log out of the Monzo App
- Uninstall the Monzo App
IMPORTANT
Restart your phone
- Reinstall the Monzo App
- Log into the Monzo App
- Try your action again
If your issue still isn’t fixed:

Hi, 15, just updated a day or two ago.
I keep getting message saying Monzo App keeps stopping. I have gone through all the trouble shooting uninstall , shut down phone, reinstall etc ,and still not working. my phone is Google pixel 8 pro. any suggestions please.

For some as-yet unknown reason, several users have reported that the Monzo app doesn’t work after upgrading to Android 15.
The only known ‘fix’ so far is to create a ‘Private Space’ on the 15 device and install the
app into it. It reportedly then works.
But I don’t buy this. I’ve upgraded to 15 and the
(beta) app continues to work OK without having to segment it into a Private Space. Plus - it seems the Private Space has other issues with stopping apps and therefore notifications.
There’s something else behind this which unfortunately I can’t trial as it currently works (for me)

I created the private space too and that doesn’t work either
I can’t recreate this on android 15, pixel 6a although Monzo wasn’t logged in during the 14 to 15 upgrade.
I wonder if it’s a specific setting like app lock or added security that’s triggering it, and that’s why private space is working for some people, as when they log back in they don’t enable all the options they had last time but some did triggering the crash in private spaces as well. That being said none of the options I turned on triggered a crash.
After a reinstall does it let you login before the crashes or is it crashing at launch?
Maybe it’s a specific ISP DNS not resolving something critical.

The issue is related to biometrics - if anyone fancies trying to see if they can work around it, resetting your biometrics in Android’s Settings may help. Remove all your fingerprints from your device, and then re-add them.
