Mobile Networks

So sky esim randomly stopped working for one of my kids, no signal even though the other has full signal. Spoke to sky and they kept trying to get to me get a physical sim rather than esim, they reissued the esim and now the website wont issue them and comes up with an error so she has no number…

For all the money sky has their website is trash and breaks all the time.

Are you an AO member? It’s £18/m if you’re not.

Anyone seen this before?

EE SIM lost bars for a second and switched to “BT using Cellular Data”

An EE sim will use the other sims data connection for WiFi calling (calls and sms).

It might say BT because it uses the BT core.

Ah interesting. Is this exclusive to EE or does that work in any dual-SIM setup?

I am, I was forced to as that was the only way to get the Oven I wanted cheaper…also accidentally got Lloyds cashback at 10% covering the cost with some change. It is now scheduled for cancellation at end of term.

I can’t give them a try as Vodafone is not good here at the moment.

I had it with Spusu (EE network). I was talking on my O2 line then saw that the Spusu line was still showing full signal bars with network name still showing. With a dual sim usually the other sim temporarily loses signal altogether until you finish the call.

Does it? I just tested that and the second SIM stayed connected.

Unless that was the feature you’re talking about working

With other networks the line that is not being used for the call goes off. May be if iOS changed that but I first noticed it with Spusu and O2.
With Three and Giffgaff only one would be on during a phone call.

Only EE uses the other sims connection for WiFi calling if it has no service.

Only if data switching isn’t active I think.
