That sounds like a capacity/congestion issue. All the networks apart from EE around here are like that.
I wonder if that’s why they called the network 3 (I jest, I am old enough). I was curious if they’d ever update it (especially as 3G became irrelevant) but I guess by that point it was a brand and they were stuck enough in every market to not bother.
Oh man I’m showing my age here but I remember when they launched the only place you could by their sims in my town was Savers

Sky sim arrived, setup instant.
Couldn’t covert to eSIM cuz the website, while all my details are correct, has my old number in the 2FA system so can’t convert to eSIM.
My usual O2 spot in the bedroom window for a glimpse reached a 180meg test, but then went back to 20/50meg on the next one.
I wonder if it latched to SA for a second? My O2 sim used to work just fine for high speeds aligned to Vodafone.
Are you a SIM collector @Carlo1460 ? You make me believe so, I may be wrong.

They should do switching bonuses too. Sometimes I switch my Apple or Xbox billing to O2. They should say switch with a subscription and get £50 bill credit

Hey, has anybody tried the roaming on Klarna / gigs yet?
I am wondering if 5G roaming is supported, if there are any speed caps lower than the uk 100mbps. Did it seem to be vodafone sponsored? Or through a third country broker?

Yes I’ve tried it, I can’t say that I was doing speed test though, not for wanting to deplete my allowance!
So for roaming on Klarna Mobile:
No, your internet speed is not capped, you will enjoy the maximum speed the network allow for as many GBs you have purchased.
This also applies to the travel e-sim (which you also get free for certain membership levels)

The caveat being the end network can restrict roaming customers how they please.
