Mobile Networks

Where did you get that offer from? :joy:

Will SMARTY even be around in 80 years time?

Classic tactic online in telecoms. The online price is ridiculous.

When you call or go into store the “under the counter” prices appear and suddenly it’s all discounted.

Vodafone will aggressively push to get your FTTP broadband line first. And then unlock significant discounts on a mobile line. EE does the same.

EE hardly do any business online. It’s all via the contact centre, and that’s because they can price differently without causing the competition to react and lower their prices.

I want to say MSE. I get great Three coverage indoors and around the streets which voxi refuses to use until it connects to the 5G.

Also has 12gb roaming so that’s holiday sorted.

always the way

Not bad 5G standalone in York

Must be quite populated with that latency?

150 at the venue I’m at, yes. Whether they’re all on EE, who knows

I’ve seen way worse on Three though

Try *3001#12345#* and look at the stats there. It’ll infer strength and quality/interference.

And that only applies if you had an EE contract before, right? Presumably you can’t get such good deals going in

I had to phone EE to add a sim onto my account as I could t do it online. Said the account was closed due to porting number out. Have EE broadband but the person on the phone still only quoted the online price so wasn’t any different.

Starts and ends wit a * just fyi for those trying

Oops!! Yes it does - sorry, amended now! Thanks for spotting that!

That’s EE One pricing. Which is already discounted because you have broadband.

Those are the best prices. At least £20 less per month than the standard retail price.

Three, ID, and Smarty having issues.

Weirdly, for me, Three works and Smarty doesn’t.

I didn’t have any issues on iD.

First day at work with my 18 pro max and the C2 modem seems to stay on 5G SA a lot better than my 17 pro max and 16 plus did, this has not touched NSA once, obviously it could be that EE have gotten better in the space of a few weeks….

N3 doesn’t seem terribly fast, but at least it’s stable

53mb I think is poor for 5GSA given the price EE are selling it for. If that doesn’t improve I would seriously consider a complaint. EE suggest the 5GSA would deliver much faster speeds than that. I would try a 4G speed test and I’m sure you will get 3 times that.

I have standard 5G non SA on my Galaxy S26U on a 3 SIM and it’s hitting consistently 700mb to 1GB speeds. Granted that’s probably the Vodafone effect but still, way faster than EE.

OMG, you were right, the 4G test absolutely rips! /s

I’m more concerned about the stability of the connection over speeds, I might test three, but I’m in an EE contract until March 2028

I would absolutely raise a complaint with those speeds on EE.

Is it not more likely the Three effect? Three have the fastest 5G top speeds going.

This is on Three this morning

The most hated network not doing bad here.

I did another one. Still on NSA.
O2 is not that bad
