Mobile Networks

Just signed up for this same one on Tuesday. Still waiting for the SIM to arrive. I wonder why they don’t offer eSIM right away.
O2 has good reception where I am/ frequently go so I am sure it will be much better than Three. Leaving Three mainly because of poor call quality, not internet speeds.

I was with EE before joining Three, they had been good but something happened and everything just went down. Slow speeds, poor signal, call quality all got reduced but they kept claiming they see nothing on their end.

And just yesterday, I saw a mast near my home about 300 metres away, leaving me wondering why I still have poor reception. Even others on same networks experiencing the same around here.

Agree. I wanted an eSIM as well.

It’s strange eSIM isn’t offered straight away. As buying a non Virgin Volt SIM - from O2 - the option for eSIM is available.

I did. The email arrived around 5pm. I’m all up and running.

I’m going to give it a test and see how it performs up against iD Mobile.

Norway is included in Zone A roaming, along with Iceland, Ireland and Isle of Man. It’s free, no roaming pass needed.

I’m headed to Iceland in May so works great for me too

I went for a few days before and was disappointed in the amount of the country I saw in that time so I’m going back for 11 days to do it properly

My secondary SIM is the eSIM.sm global SIM. Pay as you go but seemingly can connect to almost any network (including all 4 UK networks) so great in a pinch.

good luck with mozillion i have had so much trouble using them

Go on.. how so?

I’m on a lebara deal right now. Cheap, it works, but the Vodafone signal isn’t quite as good as EE where I am, and I’m thinking of switching when my prices goes up next month

Also on Mozillion. Never had a problem.

Actually that’s not true, I once deleted my eSim and they were really helpful, albeit it’s not a 24 hour service.

they do not get same speed as ee as they claim and also in the eu it is hit and miss with roaming

Lebara prices arent going up as far as im aware

Which countries and issues did you face specifically while roaming?

so data would only work to begin with then when things did start working i was hit with 3g in malta and calls wouldnt work

and also where i live there signal is not the same as ee

Just one country? Did you swap networks manually?

Full Tesco 5G :joy::sob::sweat_smile:

Full 4G :eyes:

Back in the day I often found 3G to be faster and better than 4G, and still occasionally find 5G to be worse than 4G.

Contention, I guess.
