We’ve rolled out the new merchant feedback flow for Monzo transactions to everyone, I hope you find it easier to use. If nothing else we no longer ask you to find the merchant’s “Twitter” account
You should also see your feedback gets reviewed quicker than before. If we didn’t get to a change, it’s worth trying it again! (Though note there are, as always, some cases where we don’t have enough information to give a more accurate merchant: e.g. where all we see on our end is the payment processor.)
@ntaylor3 Thanks for your thoughtful comments, I’ve passed them on
Oof. All I can say is, when it’s this bad when changes are only processed by hundreds (tens?) of Monzo staff, it would be a thousand times worse if the data was fully crowdsourced*
The bottom line is, in an ideal world, everyone makes sure everything is objectively correct. In a less than an ideal world (current experience), some people aren’t going to know or care enough to process changes properly, that’s life. In a fully crowdsourced world, all it needs is two people fanatically devoted to diametrically opposed views to blow things to he heck for everyone else.

How does it work with locations? I’ve submitted a few that have the wrong address location e.g Somerset House in London isn’t in Birmingham. There doesn’t seem to be a way of alerting the location is wrong on this new flow. Cheers
There doesn’t seem to be a way of flagging what is wrong in the new flow. If a logo is missing you can add a link to a website or social media so hopefully it will get picked up. Would be nice if you could select the issue: wrong name, missing logo, incorrect location or something else/multiple issues.
There is a lot to like about the new flow, but merchants are and are not recognised seems to follow a logic I cannot see. Some rather obscure entries are and then some larger companies are not. All to expanding that!
Nice work and seeing quick turnaround this week on those that are recognised like Airbnb through PayPal
Now I did not really expect them to have Einstein Coffee, a notable chain in Germany, but who are this lot? They are there while Mercure and the V&A are not
@tjvr Could you perhaps add location so it says “Let us know if the merchant’s name, location or logo are wrong.” ? That makes it a little more obvious as I also was confused about this.
Hopefully we’ll see Flex working with the new flow on Android soon! I’ve got a load of transactions from my recent holidays… almost all are wrong
Location is surely more complex as just because you bought it in one place doesn’t mean it’s processed there?
And what does it matter anyway? You can’t do anything with that location data, doesn’t change anything in your feed, doesn’t confuse who/what you bought.
