I haven’t been on here for a few years and was thinking earlier about how much I used to enjoy the Monzo community meet-ups!
Does anyone know if they still happen? If so where do you find out about them nowadays?

Yeah there were things like open offices and the odd events where they gave updates. Mostly London, then I think there was one time they did a few further ‘up north’ as high as Manchester?

Has this community changed then? Used to be really helpful and had plenty of advice floating around

Yeah I believe there was!
I seem to recall some Plus exclusive or investor exclusive events that they promoted as a perk. Then people (myself included 
) complained that they were always at the London HQ.

I think it’s less that they stopped and more that the pandemic came…
And I think that lots of the folk who used to organise then have gone now.

I think a roadshow would be cool. It’s all great having in office events in LDN and all but what about the rest of the uk 
Be great to see the Monzo bus doing some kind of road trip…

I went to a couple of them back in the day, including meetings for the change in name and to go to pick up the debit card for the current account beta. Was always fun!

Didn’t they give out hot chip stickers and T-shirts? I saw lots with them!
Yes! I still have mine. It was a fun day. There was even a staff member dressed as Hot Chip

I remember the Monzo Debate on “Is cash dead” in their London HQ back in 2019- great expert speakers and an interesting topic- Monzo even had free curry and beers for everyone who attended! It was a really good evening
